Michelle FrenzelMichelle started at Kalvig & Associates in November 2019. She prepares tax returns, financial statements, and payroll. She values the opportunity to work in the accounting field and enjoys helping clients with their tax and accounting needs.
Michelle earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Bemidji State University. She worked at Bemidji State University for 20 years in advising, records, registration, and enrollment management. During that time she also completed a master's degree in Organizational Management from Concordia College - St. Paul. Among the courses she's taken, she especially enjoyed the accounting courses that were part of the programs. More recently she completed additional accounting courses, specifically in tax preparation and regulations. She remembers fondly her first expereience preparing tax returns during her college years through the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. An active member of St. Patrick's Church, she currently serves on the parish council and is a member of St. Patrick's Christian Mothers, where she especially loves being involved in their prayer shawl ministry. She is committed to serving both her faith community and broader local area. She helped form the Blackduck High School Trap Club, a booster club supporting youth involvement in shooting sports. She currently serves that group by assisting with the application and reporting requirements for two grant programs. In addition, she serves as the treasuer of the North Beltrami Sportsmen's Club and has been a member of that organzation since 1999. Originally from Kelliher, she now lives in Quiring Township with her husband, Morris, on a family farm raising crops. Morris also owns and operates Frenzel Auto Body & Glass. Their daughter, Maggie, graduated from Blackduck High School and now works in food service. As a family they enjoy snowmobiling, trapshooting, traveling (especially to Alaska), and spending time on Upper Red Lake. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, canning, quilting, crocheting, making sourdough bread, and spending time with family. |
